They look and taste like the Hostess Fruit Pies. Sometimes you find yourself far away from the store or the convenience of a well stocked kitchen, but you want Hostess Fruit Pies, right? Happens to me all the time and here is the solution.
One biscuit at a time, put a spoonful of pie filling into the middle of the biscuit. Fold the dough over and pinch the edges together or press them down with a fork for appearance. Fry the “pie” in butter over medium heat until it is golden brown and crispy. Remove the “pie” and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Be sure to let them cool for a few minutes before eating as the filling will be hot.
A nice variation would be o mix the fruit, or layer the pie filling. Blackberry and Raspberry, Strawberry Rhubarb, yum and yum!
